I'm a life-long activist, and have worked as a community organizer, foreign exchange enabler, labor union organizer and representative, and am currently involved in a project to change the music industry, as well as representing individual artists from Africa.

This project of which i speak is Calabash Music, “the ultimate global music destination giving easy access to all the great, but hard-to-find, music from around the world. We’re providing you with the most unique and broadest based international catalog available anywhere.”

We just launched a wicked campaign to help musicians in Africa affect change in their communities. Check it out, and re-tune our world into a state of harmony!

I'm a DJ, and spin mostly music from Africa or the Diaspora. Danceable fun stuff, and spun from my laptop, using Traktor.

I work directly with a bunch of artists from west africa who are here in the Boston area (see my wadabo.com site), and also work with some African based artists like Ramata Diakite. info on her is here and here.

I also do lots of west african dance, having studied and lived in Mali and Guinea, and also do some yoga, some biking, some hiking, all that good crunchy stuff. I maintain a site compiling all sorts of West African Dance in Boston. - wadabo.com
